ARTS RWC: Call for Artists to Paint the Town, Redwood City!

YO REDWOOD CITY!

ART on the Square, Art Walk, Phantom Gallery, Broadway Art Center, Gallery Annex, The Main Gallery, Linden Street Warehouse, Sequoia Art Group....WOW! Is Redwood City THE Destination for Art, or what!  

And if that isn't impressive enough, move over because there is another new, unique festival about to happen, and Alisan Andrews is looking for a few (or more) good painters to participate in:

“Paint the Town” Redwood City Festival

September 9th

10 - 4 PM, Redwood City

Here's how it works.

“Paint the Town” – Artists paint scenes in-and-around Redwood City, using any media, any style.  Registration includes the opportunity to participate in the auction and the all day Art Festival on Courthouse Square. Or artists have the option to participate only in the Festival with artwork for sale in a booth.

Registration for this event is $50 per artist. This includes participation in the “Paint the Town” paint-out, auction, a shared-booth on the square, and soft book of photos. (Booth will be set up and taken down for you).  Artists provide their own tables, racks or any other display items to display artwork.  Artists may paint during the festival with “water-based” paints only!  

Dates to Remember:

Registration is July 15 to August 15th 

Check-in for all artists is Saturday, September 1st  ,  9 – 11 a.m. 

at the Gallery Annex 2115 Broadway, RWC (next to the ) 

Artists will receive a Festival Packet -- booth assignment, invitation post cards to handout to people stopping to talk or watch you paint. Artists will then Paint scenes of Redwood City all the way to the Bay that Saturday and during the week.

Sunday, September 9th, 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.- Bring finished matted and or framed paintings to Courthouse Square, wired for hanging.  All participating paintings will then be hung in a special area for the Auction, which will be held at 3:00 p.m.

Three small music groups will provide music during the day.

The Downtown Business Group will host a Beer & Wine booth

Local restaurants will give a 10% discount when presented with a card artists hand out at the booths.
