Beth Mostovoy Honeybear Prints Photography,
Photographer Beth Mostovoy, a.k.a. Honeybear Prints, travels the world in search of images that “reveal the extra-ordinary in the ordinary moments that color our lives.”
After working with seniors as an Activity Director for many years and dabbling with photography on the side, Beth decided to pursue her photography on a full time basis. In 1999 she created Honeybear Prints Photography, and shows her images in a variety of Art Festivals, exhibitions, gift and bookstores and international competitions. Highlights include Third Place (Travel/Tourism), International Photography Awards, and a collection of images featured in Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin West and East. Beth believes in the power of art to make a difference in the world and created a collection of images to sell as a fundraiser for 9/11, and another for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Honeybear Art: Honeybear Prints showcases imagery from my travels locally, and out in the world. I select distinctive formats to capture the cultural flavor behind the photographs. My “Doorway Collection” explores the universal fascination with amazing doors from diverse locations such as Italy, France, China, Greece, Mexico, New Orleans, New Mexico, New England and Australia/New Zealand, offered as a series of nine. I also favor collage framing in groups of three, to capture a moment in time and tell a story in images. Each piece of art is hand signed and identifies where the image was created. My work is sold as gift packs of blank note cards, and as matted and framed images in a variety of sizes.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, Beth is also an advocate for the Arts. As part of the Downtown Business Group in Redwood City, she was instrumental in starting the Art Walk, helped bring Phantom Galleries to the downtown and produced the Hometown Holiday Boutique for several years. She currently co-produces the successful “Art on the Square” shows in beautiful Courthouse Square, Chairs ARTS RWC and serves on the Peninsula Arts Council Board.
