I don't know where they get these numbers since they don't count people like me who exhausted ourRead More unemployment benefits. I had to collect my Social Security benefits before I wanted to and don't have any health insurance. I still go to the doctor and dentist but just pay out of pocket which is certainly much less expensive than what the insurance companies want me to pay each month. I wish the news would stop reporting these stories because I just don't think they are accurate. How about the data being reported on the people in my situation?

i started auditing city books last year because i realized that these corrupt officials were notRead More going to stop themselves.......the state controller's office has been great - right behind me.....they are the ones that told me to track the gas tax because they knew it was being misused..... i just sent a 'do your fk'g job' letter to the board of accountancy, jerry, and every member of their board....in the last year jerry has appointed 7 members to the board of accountancy, but not one of them is a accountant..... we need uniform accounting codes for every city and require them to close their books every month.....

Nice research, surprised more CA don't fight such corruption? Keep voting in corrupt politiciansRead More and just accept these ridiculous taxes. The rest of the country is laughing at us waiting for us to ask the Feds for a bailout. Vote Jerry Brown and his thugs in again and it will only get worse. Those of us that pay taxes doesn't it upset you that we still drive around on potholes and our schools aren't that great? What are we getting for all the money we pay? Not much but politicians and government employees have higher salaries than private sector and pensions the state can't afford.

So why do you keep voting for bigger Government? Seems the consumers have solved the problemRead More without "It's" help.

I agree, the public has the right to know what they are eating. It is absurd to be purchasing foodRead More that contains GMOs and not be able to know it is in the food.... why the secret if it is so safe??? I will not shop at any food stores that refuse to provide the public with information on what I am eating or serving to the people I care about. Trader Joes and Whole Foods have my loyalty for having the courage to stand up against the big guys and set an example by doing what is right for the consumer and not folding to pressure from Monsanto, Dupont and the other corporate giants that could care less about our safety and only care about how much money they can rake in.
