Redwood City Grammar School - Postcard from the Past

I collect postcards of Redwood City and I want to share them on occasion with the community here on Patch.  Our city has a rich history.  I start with one of my oldest cards - an image of the Redwood City Grammar School.   This postcard was sent around 1910 and has an interesting message on the front.

"Redwood City Grammar School opened in 1895, and was located on Broadway across the street from the county courthouse. The first two floors housed over 300 elementary school students, and Sequoia High School students occupied the third floor until a separate high school building was finished in 1904. The Grammar School building was torn down in 1927."  Source: Bits of History
