Redwood City Man Still Owes the State More Than $2 Million

The California State Board of Equalization released the list of sales tax delinquents for this quarter.

Nabil Khalil Msalam is still on the California State Board of Equalization's list of businesses and residents who owe the state more than $100,000, after being added back in July of 2010. The state released an updated list this quarter which lists Msalam as owing $2.14 million.

His business address was 274 Redwood Shores Parkway #133 in Redwood Shores, but the state does not list what type of business Msalam owned.

Since the inception of this program, 42 qualifying taxpayers have come forward to take care of their debts for a total of $5.7 million paid back to the state, according to the Board of Equalization, a public agency that handles tax administration and fee collection.

The Board of Equalization is required by law to post this information every quarter, and removes amounts that are being addressed through payment arrangement, bankruptcy, litigation, or appeal.

California Target Enterprises, Inc., in Downey California is the largest delinquent and owes the state $18.5 million as of April 2002.
