Redwood City Announces return of PACT Program

The popular program, teaching citizens about the inner workings of the city, will return this year after a one year hiatus.

Redwood City residents, including siddle school and high school students, will have a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look into the operation of local government with the return of the PACT (Partnership Academy for Community Teamwork) program.

The program takes place on six Wednesday evenings from September 12 to October 17, and features a complimentary dinner.

Throughout the course, residents will have the opportunity to interact with city officials to ask questions and gain insight.

Redwood City Mayor Alicia Aguirre praised the program.

“It’s important for people to really get engaged with the city, to see how things operate and to bring true partnership to how we address community issues,” said Aguirre.

“Graduates of PACT often express a renewed sense of pride in our community, and we want to offer this to a wide varity of people from all across Redwood City. This is a great way of building a great community together.”
