MAYOR: All Department Mergers Are Possible

The re-organization of the city's boards, committees and commissions was an example of the various consolidation and mergers that could take place at the city staff level.

Mayor Jeff Ira said this consolidation and move toward more efficiency would also take place within the city's departments.

Moves like merging the Library department with Parks & Rec was a possibility, and even combining Police and Fire in the future.
