Day of Remembrance

County supervisors Rose Jacobs Gibson and Don Horsley and the Domestic Violence Council invite you to join them as they commemorate A Day of Remembrance, a time to acknowledge the losses the county has suffered as a result of domestic violence and offer information and hope to those who still fear for their safety. The ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 3 at the Downtown Redwood City Library Community Room.

The Day of Remembrance begins at 11:30 a.m. with an opportunity for the community to view and interact with the Silhouette Project and domestic violence service providers staffing resource tables in the plaza. At noon leaders from the faith community will offer messages of hope and condolence, survivors of violence will share personal testimony, and community leaders and service providers will read the names of those who have died, accompanied by the ringing of bells. Counseling and referral services will be available on site.
