Update: Lanes Reopen on NB Hwy. 101 After Injury Crash

The crash happened at about 9:50 Tuesday morning in the northbound lanes near Whipple Ave.

All lanes of U.S. Highway 101 have reopened in Redwood City this morning after a major-injury crash blocked a portion of the roadway for about an hour, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The crash was reported at about 9:50 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 near Whipple Avenue, CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said.

At least two vehicles are believed to have been involved, and one person was seriously injured, Bartlett said.

At about 10:45 a.m., the vehicles were moved off the highway and a Sig-alert was canceled.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.--------------------------------------

Two lanes of U.S. Highway 101 are blocked by a major-injury crash in Redwood City this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The crash was reported at about 9:50 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 near Whipple Avenue, CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said.

At least two vehicles are believed to have been involved, and one person was seriously injured, Bartlett said.

The two left lanes remained blocked as of 10:15 a.m.
