Shooting Lands Redwood City Man in Hospital

San Bruno Police investigating the incident believe the victim may have been targeted.

 

Police in San Bruno are investigating a shooting that hospitalized a Redwood City man Friday afternoon.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1125 Cherry Ave. at about 4:25 p.m.

Arriving officers found several people treating a man who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the garage of the home.

The 29-year-old victim was taken to a hospital for treatment for his injuries. Police said his condition is not known.

Witnesses told police they heard shots coming from inside the garage, and saw a white car leaving the area immediately following the shooting.

There is no known motive for the shooting, but investigators believe the man who was shot was targeted, police said.
