Police Catch Burglary Suspects with Victim’s Help

The Redwood City Police were able to capture the fleeing suspects.

arrested two teenagers who had allegedly broken into a man’s home on Dover Road.

On Wednesday morning, a 42-year-old Redwood City man returned to his home and discovered two teenagers inside. The suspects saw the man and fled on foot.

The man immediately called 911 and provided dispatchers with a description of the suspects and the direction they fled.

Officers responded to the area and established a perimeter. After an officer located one of the suspects after conducting an area search, the victim positively identified the suspect as the person he saw in his home.

Today, detectives were able to locate and identify the second suspect and took him into custody.

Both of the suspects were booked into the San Mateo County Juvenile Detention Center for residential burglary.
