Police Blotter: Armed Robbers Demand Phone, Cash; Vandals Slash Tire

The following information was supplied by the Redwood City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

6:55 a.m. - Public Drunkenness/Disorderly Conduct - Police arrested a man on suspicion of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct at Jackson Avenue and El Camino Real.

2:48 p.m. - Vicious Animal - Police responded to a report of aggressive pit bulls almost jumping a fence when a person walked by a home at Buckeye and Shasta Streets.

4:45 p.m. - Hit and Run - A suspected hit and run driver caused unspecified injuries on Woodside Road and Broadway.

7:53 p.m. - Armed Robbery - Five male juveniles wearing red sweatshirts and shorts demanded a man's money and cell phone in an armed robbery at Woodside Road and Shasta Street.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 26

1:06 p.m. - Vandalism - Vandals slashed the tire of a parked car on Davit Lane.

 

Thursday, Sept. 27

12:53 p.m. - Stolen Vehicle - A vehicle was reported stolen on Third Avenue.

4:27 p.m. - Hit and Run - A suspected hit and run driver in an older blue sedan caused unspecified damage to a car parked in a driveway on Chesterson Avenue.  

5:25 p.m. - Public Drunkenness/Disorderly Conduct - Police arrested a person on suspicion of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct in front of the Big Lots store on Broadway.

I agree, the public has the right to know what they are eating. It is absurd to be purchasing foodRead More that contains GMOs and not be able to know it is in the food.... why the secret if it is so safe??? I will not shop at any food stores that refuse to provide the public with information on what I am eating or serving to the people I care about. Trader Joes and Whole Foods have my loyalty for having the courage to stand up against the big guys and set an example by doing what is right for the consumer and not folding to pressure from Monsanto, Dupont and the other corporate giants that could care less about our safety and only care about how much money they can rake in.
