CHP Releases Latest Count of Distracted Drivers

Redwood City area law enforcement officials are cracking down on distracted driving in the month of April.

California Highway Patrol has busted 429 motorists so far this month, for driving while distracted in the Redwood City area.

265 motorists were cited for driving while talking on a cell phone, while 22 drivers were ticketed for texting while driving, according to data released to Patch on April 23rd. 

More than 100 of those motorists were issued warnings. 

The California Highway Patrol’s distracted driving awareness campaign will continue through the month of April.
