Blotter: Drunk Driver Crashes & Flips Car, is Thrown Out, But Walks Away

RANDOM INCIDENTS OF NOTE:

* Monday, March 25, 7:20 p.m. - DUI Crash: Occurred at Hwy 101 & Seaport Blvd. Drunk driver was traveling toward Woodside Road when the car crashed and the vehicle overturned. Driver thrown from vehicle. Driver did not appear to be injured, got up and walked. Declined attention from medics. Arrest made, booked into County Jail.

Monday, March 25, 1:21 a.m. - Public Drunkeness/Disorderly Conduct: Resident of Middlefield Road reported a man he didn't recognize was tapping on his window repeatedly and also urinating on his car. Arrest made.

Monday, March 25, 11:54 a.m. - Missing Juvenile: Occurred on Clinton Street. Mother said her 8-year-old son said he was going outside to play with friends around 8 a.m. She just went outside and looked around for him and can't find him.

Monday, March 25, 1:44 p.m. - Shoplifting: Occurred on Veterans Boulevard. Two black females stole a car seat and stroller from a store. Arrests made, cited and released.

Monday, March 25, 8:38 p.m. - Disturbance: Woman reports that her neighbor, who is possibly on drugs, is hitting her 18-year-old daughter. 

Monday, March 25, 11:13 p.m. - Suspicious Person/Circumstances: A resident of Gunter Lane said a Hispanic male between 5'6" and 5'10" knocked on his door and was mumbling. The resident refused to open the door and yelled out that he does not open his door to strangers. The man refused to leave so the resident called the police. Police came and believe the man to be on drugs. Arrest made.

Tuesday, March 26, 1:06 p.m. - Reckless Driving: Person called to report that a car was driving the wrong way down the street while speeding and almost collided head-on with another car. Police responded to the area and found the car that was described parked at Rolison and 5th. Report taken.

Tuesday, March 26, 3:59 p.m. - Disturbance/Assault: Occurred on Middlefield Road. A woman who works at one of the stores called to report that an older white male in his 50s was dumping bread all around on the ground to feed the birds. She approached him and asked him to stop, and he became angry and got in his car and tried to run her over. She was hit slightly by the mirror of the car but declined medical assistance.

Tuesday, March 26, 10:25 p.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on El Camino Real. Employees from a store called to report that a transient fell down on the ground, was crying and rocking back and forth and saying he wants to hurt himself. He asked the employees to call the hospital for him. The employees report it does not appear he has any weapons. Report taken.

Tuesday, March 26, 11:02 p.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Canoe Court. Resident called to report that a man is walking around shooting a bb-gun. Officer on the line can hear a "pinging noise" from signs being hit with the bb-gun's bullets. Advised, but officers were unable to locate.

Wednesday, March 27, 9:59 a.m. - Disturbance/Domestic Violence: Occurred on Laurel Street. Fight between female and boyfriend. Reported by mother of boyfriend. Said female has butcher knife in hand. 

Wednesday, March 27, 3:12 p.m. - Disturbance Involving Juveniles: Person called to report a group of 8-10 juveniles who look like gang-bangers loitering near her home on Vera. Thinks there may be drug activity taking place. Officers found one of the juveniles to be violating probation. Arrest made.

Thursday, March 28, 3:54 a.m. - Assault/Battery: Occurred on Woodside Road. Man called to say he was just attacked by two subjects in front of his apartment. Now he is having trouble breathing. Arrest made. 

Thursday, March 28, 9:14 p.m. - Gunshots Heard: One shot heard on 5th St. in unincorporated San Mateo County. Referred to Sheriff's Office.

 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES:

Monday, March 25, 5:23 p.m. - Occurred on Manor Court sometime during the night. A bag of golf equipment was stolen from the garage, which was accidentally left open. Report taken.

Tuesday, March 26, 10:38 a.m. - Occurred at Stafford Street. Lots of items stolen. In addition to the home being burglarized, the storage shed outside was as well; the lock was cut. Report taken.

Thursday, March 28, 11:54 a.m. - Report of a burglary in progress on Durlston Road. Person sees three juveniles running away from house toward Whipple.

 

STOLEN VEHICLES:

Wednesday, March 27, 7:42 a.m. - Occurred on 8th Avenue. Gray 2002 Toyota Rav4, last seen parked in front of residence last Thursday. Report taken.

Thursday, March 28, 5:35 a.m. - Occurred at Jeter Street, sometime overnight. Black Ford Mustang, was parked in front of residence. No suspect info. Owner has the keys. Report taken.
