Armed Robbers Shoot Man in Abdomen in Park

Three men attacked a total of four pedestrians on Sunday evening on the 400 block of Chestnut Street, with one attack in the Jardin de Niños park.

The first victim was robbed at gunpoint and stole the 20-year-old Redwood City resident’s jewelry. The suspects then robbed a 26-year-old man of his cash and cell phone.

The suspects then attempted to rob a third victim walking on Chestnut Street. When the 24-year-old man told him he didn’t have any money, one of the suspects struck the victim with a handgun.

The suspects then attempted to rob another victim who was in Jardin de Niños Park. The victim told the suspects that he did not have what they were asking for, they struck him in the head and was shot once in the abdomen.

The robbers then fled on food and police are still searching for them.

The shot victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The victims are all described as 18 to 24 years old with medium build, the first two as about 5’ 8”. The first suspect has black hair was wearing a black shirt and pants. The second suspect also had black hair and was wearing dark clothing. The third suspect was wearing a white shirt.
