VIDEO: Patch Editor Becomes Teppanyaki Chef at Restaurant Opening

Local elected officials and community members attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Sakura Teppanyaki and Sushi Tuesday afternoon.

Though the community mourned the closing of Bob's Courthouse Coffeeshop, a new restaurant is in town, and they're serving up some fiery dishes.

Sakura Teppanyaki and Sushi not only serves delicious Japanese cuisine, but chefs delight guests with high-flying flips and tricks. Just don't lean in too closely to smell the tasty food when it's cooking or the three-foot high flames might give you more than you bargained for.

To truly celebrate the grand opening, I wanted to try my hand at Teppan-style cooking. Patch Editors across the country will be tackling jobs in their town that they've always wanted to try.
