The B.O.K. Ranch, therapeutic riding program is hosting it's 29th annual Western Day fundraiser.
The event will be held from 12:00 pm - to 5:00 on Sunday, June 8th, 2014 at 1815 Cordilleras Road in Emerald Hills. B.O.K. Ranch is a 501c2 non-profit organization that provides adaptive horseback riding lessons to children and adults with special needs.
The program's greatest asset....the four legged therapists. The horses of B.O.K. are considered service animals, such as a seeing-eye dog, police horse, or police dog. Unlike a typical riding barn which is centered and focused on the horses, the B.O.K. Ranch is centered and focused on the people it serves. The very special horses that live here are extremely powerful tools to reach so many individual lives on a daily basis. It is the belief and philosophy of The B.O.K. Ranch that if the horses receive great care that they will in turn take great care of the riders.
Tickets are available at the door for $45, children 12 and under are free. Come out and join us for some good old family fun! Horse riding demonstrations, BBQ lunch prepared by the RWC Fire Department, carnival games, live music and more! All proceeds go directly to the therapeutic riding program. If you can't make it to this event and you want to help this nonprofit, consider sponsoring a horse, making a donation or volunteering your time. We hope to see you there.
