P & B Dept. Fee Increase

The Board of Supervisors needs to have a systems analysis performed on the whole permitting process.  Having been through this routine a few years back for our new home, we found that papers were lost (and it was our responsibility to replace them), approvals weren't made on a timely basis and the staff (with the exception of the front desk clerk) lacked basic customer service skills.  I felt like an intruder every time I went to the office.  Throwing more money at a broken system is not the answer and why it only involves the unincorporated areas of the county doesn't make sense.  It is a county-wide process so everyone should share in the costs.
