Obituary: George M. Okada of RWC, Was Machinist for United Airlines

Services for George Okada will be held Saturday in San Mateo.

George M. Okada passed away peacefully at home in Redwood City on September 9, 2013. He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Chiyeko, his children Karen, Ron (Robin), Dave (Karen) and grandsons Andy and Danny. 

George was born in Auburn, Washington on March 29, 1929 but spent the last 56 years living in Redwood City. He was a Machinist for United Airlines for over 26 years. After his retirement in 1992, he enjoyed ballroom and country western dancing until he had a stroke in 1997. After his stroke he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2:00 at the San Mateo Buddhist Church, 2 S. Claremont Street, San Mateo.
