There are Heroes, Then There are BLOOD Heroes
Can you spare a pint of blood for someone in need? It's quick, it's painless and you'll be helping out a total stranger.
Because every pint counts, the City of Redwood City will host a blood drive this Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Redwood Shores Branch Library, 399 Marine Parkway.
From noon-4 p.m., the Blood Heroes donor coach will be in the library's parking lot, and all you need to do to participate is make an appointment by going to www.bloodheroes.com.
If you plan on donating, be sure to bring proper identification (i.e. driver's license, CA identification card), and don't forget to eat a healthy meal beforehand. Tips for a successful donation.
