Steve Okamoto Presentation - "Relocation: A Contstitutional Mistake of Historic Proportions"

The Museum
will present Steve Okamoto who will speak of the forced removal of Japanese
from the Pacific Coast during World War II in his presentation entitled,
“Relocation: A Constitutional Mistake of Historic Proportions.”  Okamoto is a Foster City City Councilman and
a long-time leader of the Japanese American Citizens League.  Attendees will be invited to explore the
Museum’s gallery Land of Opportunity: the
Immigrant Experience in San Mateo County
, which gives historic background
to the Japanese American experience on the Peninsula.

The
program is free with the price of admission to the Museum: $5 for adults, $3
for students and seniors.  The lecture is
a part of the Museum’s “Courthouse Docket” series, which is sponsored by the
Cypress Lawn Heritage Foundation.
