Redwood City Frowns on Sidewalk Chairs
Note from City Manager Bob Bell talks about setting up chairs on sidewalks before the parade.
Redwood City staff broadcast a note from the City Manager on Wednesday that asks people not to place chairs on the sidewalks before the 4th of July parade starts.
“Chairs that are already in place may be subject to removal if they are blocking access, and when we receive complaints, our Police Department staff will respond, when they are not responding to priority calls for service,” said Bob Bell, city manager of Redwood City in the note.
Bell said he wants everyone to have a good time at the parade. He has also asked staff to scrutinize the issue for next year.
