Playing Outside in Redwood Shores
This blog is dedicated to the neighborhood of Redwood Shores.
The weather has gotten warmer, and I remember how great it is to live in the neighborhood of Redwood Shores. My husband and I remind ourselves that we have the best backyard any child could want, directly on our front steps.
There are many flat, paved paths to walk or ride bikes on, perfect for when our children were learning to ride. There are ponds and estuaries full of ducks and birds for us to watch. And there are many playgrounds that are in easy walking or biking distance.
Even though I have lived Redwood Shores for almost seven years, I still feel like I am driving into a vacation community every time I drive east on Redwood Shores Parkway.

It’s such a sleepy little community that once was the home to Marine World. I’m told that some of Marine World animals used to live in the ponds around the Shores. Now those ponds are homes to all sorts of birds, fish and even a sea otter if you watch closely!
There are many upcoming activities this spring and summer, including concerts in the Shores, a new playground and more! Come by and visit us sometime and take advantage of the gorgeous spring/summer weather. Bring your bike or your running shoes, and don’t forget your hat and sunglasses.
