VIDEO: Peninsula Fans Flock to Book Release Party

Peninsula native and author Maria Murnane filled The Living Room on Broadway Street with fans Tuesday night for the release party for her latest book, 'Honey On Your Mind.'

 

bar and lounge on Broadway Street in Redwood City was buzzing Tuesday night for the launch party for Peninsula native and author Maria Murnane's latest book, Honey On Your Mind, the third in a series of books about 20-something character Waverly Bryson.

Murnane grew up in Palo Alto, where her parents still live, and graduated from Palo Alto High School.

Fans of both the books, and the story of how she got her publihing deal, turned out to get their hands on a copy of Honey On Your Mind, just released earlier in the day.

Murnane currently for Palo Alto Patch, about between writing her first book, publishing it herself, and then landing a publishing deal with AmazonEncore.

I wish I had known about this event! I read the first book and didn't know that there were more. I will have to get my hands on the other two!

Fact check: the street is "Broadway", not "Broadway Street".
Does Patch employ a copy editor? If so, might he or she be awakened to skim the pre-published articles occasionally?

Vanessa and ctpiazza, Buckley Stone at Pete's Harbor says it is because some time ago the CityRead More dredged near muni and ran a pipe under to spill it out at Bair Island, so it is actually the remains of rotting sea life. He knows so much about this area having been at Pete's for 20 years and knowing so much about the area the tides and the nature and land around here.
