Lies My Mother Told Me:

the story of an old fashioned girl looking for Happily Ever After in the Digital Age

Once upon a time there was a girl who believed in Wishes, True Love's Kiss, & Happily Ever After. en she grew up and learned that a frog is just a frog, though sometimes he's a handsy little weasel. Too many fairy tales had her looking for a Fairy Godmother to wave her wand and grant a happy ending. But it is the digital age. How and where do wishes, magic, and love fit? This one woman musical tells the story of looking for love in all the wrong places and the comedy of errors that ensues when an old fashioned girl fishes for love on the internet only to learn that sometimes your Ever After is right where you left it.

This is not your mother's cabaret, this is Stand Up Cabaret-- where comedy and musical theater collide.
