Red Morton Community Park Draws Summer Crowds

This nearly 30 acre park has it all: swimming pool, skate park, sports fields, and community center, right in the heart of Redwood City.

This summer, why not try something new? Not new as in taking up a new hobby, or new like taking a big risk in your vacation plans. No, this is new in a down-home, small town feel kind of way, getting away from expensive outings and crowded places and simply enjoying the Redwood City sunshine.

This summer, why not spend the day at , where there is never a shortage of exciting things going on, where people of any age, be it toddlers, teens, parents, or grandparents, can enjoy themselves for the day?

Upon arriving at Red Morton Community Park, located between Valota, Roosevelt and Madison Ave., visitors are suddenly faced with a difficult question: what to do first? The skate park attracts on average a crowd of teenage boys and girls, skating around and doing tricks in the Phil Shao Memorial Skate Park. The public pool is available for any visitor, and is a popular retreat on hot and muggy days. Red Morton's vast expanses of lawn are used for playing sports or picnicking, while the playground caters to younger visitors and their parents.
