New RWC Fireboat at PortFest Saturday Oct. 5

The new RWC fireboat will be at PortFest Saturday and open to the public on F Dock along the public access waterfront area. It was named Sequoia Guardian on Sunday, combining names submitted in a contest by Akemi Coffman, 7, and Oscar Morfin Jr., 12. They received $50 certificates to Target; eight other “name the fireboat” finalists received $25 Target gift cards.  Photographer: Felicia Flores.
