Chavez Supermarket

Chavez Supermarket (located just north of downtown Redwood City) offers a broad range of popular Mexican and Latin American ingredients, Mexican pastries and other grocery items. This store is one of six in the Bay Area and one of two in Redwood City. It also offers fresh coffee and Mexican hot chocolate in-store at Cafe Chavez. The true gem of this store (which is obvious from the crowds) is its in-store taqueria (Chevez Taqueria) offering authentic handmade Mexican favorites which can be enjoyed at one of the tables inside or prepared to go. If that's not enough, Chavez also offers check cashing, money orders, money wiring and prepaid phone cards.
