Meeting of RWC's Inner Harbor Specific Plan Task Force that is developing the plan that will provide blueprint for the future harbor area.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

Open House Meeting for Pete's Harbor Project
6pm to 8pm at Sandpiper Community Center, 797 Redwood Shores Pkwy., 

The Open House will provide a forum where members of the public can speak directly with City Staff and project representatives regarding the current project design and how it has changed from the original 2012 proposal.  Topics to be covered include project design, open space and public access amenities, environmental review, and next steps in the review process.  The City encourages the public to engage in a dialog with City staff and project representatives in order to provide feedback on the revised project.


Redwood City Police and Fire Town Hall Meeting
7- 9 p.m. Redwood Shores Branch Library, 399 Marine Parkway 
As the previous town halls, the meeting on the 13th will be facilitated by members of the Police and Fire Departments. Residents will hear formal presentations about programs and services offered by each department and participate in a facilitated discussion to voice their concerns about public safety issues in their community.

Canada College STEM Speaker Series
5:00 p.m. Cañada College, Building 6, Room 102, 4200 Farm Hill Blvd.
This year's STEM Speaker Series concludes with a panel of Cañada College STEM alumni who will share their experience, educational paths, and career development. The lecture is free and open to the public but there is a $2 parking fee.

Introduction to Buddhism 
7:00 p.m. Redwood City Public Library Community Room, 2nd Floor
Please join us for Our Shared Humanity, a film introduction (20 min) to the World Peace, Education and Cultural Organization of the SGI-USA followed by Q&A and panel discussion. All are welcome.

An Evening with Author John Christgau

John Christgau will read from his new book, Michael and the Whiz Kids: A 
Story of Basketball, Race and Suburbia in the 1960s. 

Friday, Nov. 15

Main Library Closed
The Redwood City Public Library - Downtown, located at 1044 Middlefield Road, will be closed all day on Friday, November 15, 2013, due to scheduled maintenance work being performed by PG&E. The book drops at the Redwood City Public Library - Downtown will be open for library customers to return library materials. Library materials can also be returned in the book drops at the Fair Oaks Branch Library - 2510 Middlefield Road, the Redwood Shores Branch Library - 399 Marine Parkway, and the Schaberg Branch Library - 2140 Euclid Avenue.
