Monday, Sept. 23

 7 p.m.  RWC City Council Meeting. The council will hold a hearing on an appeal to the Laurel Way Joint Venture Project, a 4.7-acre residential development that was approved by the Planning Commission in March. Council Chambers, 1017 Middlefield Rd., RWC 650-780-7220.

8:45 a.m.  Trial to begin for David Velasquez, 21, a former RWC high school student for attempting to rape one of his teachers at knifepoint in a parking garage at Summit Prep High School in Jan. 2012.
