Photos: Patch’s Carwash Raises Hundreds for Two Nonprofits

After a day of hosing and scrubbing cars, volunteers from the Sheriff Activities League and Sophia's Euro Asia Motors helped Patch raise hundreds of dollars for two nonprofits.

On Saturday, Patch hosted a with local business to donate all proceeds to two nonprofits in Redwood City.

All the proceeds, which are still being counted, will benefit the Redwood City Education Foundation and the Sheriff’s Activities League.

Several volunteers from the Sheriff’s Activities League arrived early Saturday morning to diligently wash cars and SUVs during the hot weather.

The Sheriff’s Activities League builds positive partnerships between youth, deputies and communities through various tailored programs for youth, such as trips to Great America during the summer.

The Redwood City Education Foundation provides additional enriching educational opportunities for all 9,200 students in the such as the Save the Music Program and the to raise additional funds.
