Know an Outstanding Volunteer? Nominate Them for a Sequoia Award

Nominations are being accepted through Oct. 31 for 2014 award recipients.

[The following was submitted by the City of Redwood City.]

Each year, the Sequoia Awards recognize outstanding volunteerism in the Redwood City community among students, individuals and businesses. 

Last year, 25 local students will receive a total of $135,000 in college scholarships.

The Awards Board is now seeking nominations for the 2014 awards, and for the two dozen $5,000 scholarships for high school seniors. Learn the application details.   

Over the past two decades, the Sequoia Awards scholarship program has awarded almost $1.4 million dollars to students who are involved in community service. The top business and individual who volunteer in the community are also honored each year.  

Sequoia Awards: Deadline for Nominations 10/31!  
Important Dates: 

  • Deadline for nominations is Oct. 31st.
  • Awards event to be held March 6, 2014 at the Hotel Sofitel.
