Mountain Lion Seen in Woodside

The mountain lion was seen near Folger Stable in Woodside, California.

Woodside residents reported seeing a mountain lion in Wunderlich County Park on Friday.

The mountain lion was seen about 1.5 miles into the park on the Bear Gulch Trail, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s office.

Law enforcement officials recommend that joggers and hikers stay away from the area. Most mountain lions will avoid confrontation, unless they are feeding or with offspring. 

The mountain lion was seen at 10:30 a.m. in Wunderlich County Park, which is located at 4040 Woodside Road.
