Mountain Lion Seen In Emerald Hills
The San Mateo County Sheriff's office is advising joggers and hikers from Woodside and Redwood City to be on alert.
A mountain lion was seen on Monday night in Emerald Hills, California. The sighting was reported at 10 p.m. in the 700 block of Vista Drive.
Law enforcement officials are advising hikers and joggers to be on alert if they plan to embark on an excursion after dark.
While most mountain lions will avoid confrontation, San Mateo County residents are advised to avoid interacting with mountain lions that are feeding or have their offspring nearby.
Mountain lions are most active from dusk to dawn, according to the Office of Emergency Services. For more information vist www.keepmewild.org
