Actors To Perform Free Shakespeare Shows at Sequoia High

"Double, double, toil and trouble."

Shakespearean actors from San Francisco will travel to Redwood City this week to perform “Macbeth” at Sequoia High School, complete with a Witchipedia explainer piece.

Kenneth Kelleher will be directing scenes of swordplay and witchcraft for audiences as part of the Free Shakespeare in the Park series of performances that are taking place throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Michael Ray Wisely will play the title role of the tragic play and share the stage with Emily Jordan, who will portray Lady Macbeth.

The trio of witches who spur on the ambitious Scottish general will be played by Rainer Pearl-Styles, Rasika Raghavan, and Sarah Young. The show promises a complex narrative that revolves around the search for meaning in life, what to do in the face of betrayal, and a descent into madness.

Multiple performances will take place in Redwood City each weekend starting on Saturday, August 10 at 7:30 p.m.  The show will run through August 25.  On Saturdays, the show starts at 7:30 p.m.  On Sundays the show goes on at 2 p.m.
