Video: Food Bank Feeds Kids in San Mateo County

Partnership with Garfield Elementary School highlights a countywide initiative to prevent the hunger that could begin when school ends.

At Garfield Elementary School, only two of the 665 students do not take advantage of the free lunch program, and over 80 percent of students live below the poverty line. As summer looms, a well-rounded, complete meal may be inaccessible.

The Second Harvest Food Bank is beginning its "School's Out, Hunger Isn't" campaign to ensure that students can still receive close to three meals a day.
