RWC Peewee Football Team Raising Funds to Get to National Tournament

The Redwood City Pop Warner football team will compete in Orlando in early December. The team is seeking sponsorships to help cover travel costs.

In winning the Peninsula Conference Championships last week, the Redwood City 49er Pop Warner Junior Peewee football team earned a berth in a national tournament in Orlando, FL in early December.

To help offset travel costs, the team is asking for community sponsorships.

League president Ray Lockett says, "Most of the players on Coach Shamir Bey's team have played together for the last six years. This year they fought their way to the championship game and won! We are very proud of them!"
