Docktown Creek Party!

Redwood Creek was once the main artery into the heart of downtown Redwood city, where the docks were located near today's City Hall. It famously served as the main shipping channel for redwood logs enroute to San Francisco after the earthquake.

The Creek still runs directly under downtown in a tunnel, emerging at Veterans Blvd, serving as a link between the downtown and the Bay.

The floating community at Docktown Marina spends  a lot of time cleaning preserving this historic creek as well as beautifying the area, and once a year we celebrate the Creek. We invite everyone in Redwood City to join us.

Bring your friends and family to celebrate this open house and party, which will start at 10am with a mimosa brunch, and continue all day with fun events and activities like dinghy races, creek tours, sailboat rides, and water games. At night well have a *margarita contest, *chili cook-off, BBQ, and live music.

This is a great event you won't want to miss. Join the fun and get to know our great creek. We'll also be raising money to paint the iconic water tank above the Yacht Club. Water activities are all free.  Brunch is $5 and dinner $10.
