Graffiti Around Redwood City [PHOTOS]
There is a lot more graffiti around these streets because of rival gangs.
We went around “Little Mex” and took photos of all the graffiti.
This is what some of the graffiti means:
- “EPA14”: the Norteños from East Palo Alto, N is the 14th letter of the alphabet, standing for Norteño
- “Norte”: Norteños
- “Sur13”: Sureños, the 13th letter of the alphabet is “M,” which stands for the Mexican mafia
- “ESM”: from Stockton, unsure what it stands for
- “XIV”: roman numeral for 14; “N” is the 14th letter of the alphabet, standing for “Nuestra Familia”
The featured photo has multiple taggings on it as gangs cross each other’s turf out.
