VIDEO: Kids Go on Back-to-School Shopping Spree

With donations from Target and the help of the Salvation Army, 30 Redwood City students received $80 gift cards for school supplies.

Backpacks, pens, notebooks, gluesticks and even clothes. All were packed in students' shopping carts Tuesday morning thanks to the company's donations and help of the .

In its fifth year, the Salvation Army's event aids families that need help sending their students to school with the necessary supplies. As , events like these are crucial to ensure that every student has the tools to succeed.

Parents and volunteers from the Sunrise Lions Club were also at Target to help students get everything on their lists.
