Swab and Dance to Save a PE Teacher’s Life

Friends and family are hosting an event at Hillsdale High to save a Mount Carmel PE Teacher's life.

To support a PE teacher, friends and family are hosting a bone marrow drive on Sunday, Sept. 30 at Hillsdale High in San Mateo.

Eugene Borja, husband and loving father of two, is fighting against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), and urgently needs a bone marrow transplant.

The Mount Carmel community has been praying and of the need for a bone marrow donor.

Anyone can participate, but those of Pacific Islander or of Asian heritage is highly encouraged to be tested as a bone marrow donor.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and there will be hip hop and zumba dance classes. There will be swab tests, music and a raffle throughout the event.
