To support a PE teacher, friends and family are hosting a bone marrow drive on Sunday, Sept. 30 at Hillsdale High in San Mateo.

The Mount Carmel community has been praying and of the need for a bone marrow donor.

Anyone can participate, but those of Pacific Islander or of Asian heritage is highly encouraged to be tested as a bone marrow donor.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and there will be hip hop and zumba dance classes. There will be swab tests, music and a raffle throughout the event.
