North Star's Festival of Words, from a 6th Grader's Perspective

A day where the fun did not end for North Star students.

At North Star Academy many students were happy to get a day off of regular school for the Festival of Words.

Students attended many classes like Scrabble Strategies, Zine Workshop (comic making), and Patch News Reporting.

Karsen C., 12, 6th grade, North Star Academy, liked the Indian Workshop, and said, " I liked the food and learning the words. I also liked the ther workshops, but this one just stood out a lot."

There were many classes and each student selected a different class.

Emma W., 11, attended the Word Art Workshop where they took a word and made that word into a picture.

"One of my friends made up a word and used that word," she said. "It was just better than taking a test!"

On this day students got to let their artistic side out and flying!

Each class taught something different and each person had a different opinion on their class and we were all exited and full of joy to have a great time about what only comes twice a year.
