Starting Today in Redwood City: BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag)

It's October 1, and that means the City of Redwood City is now officially plastic-bag free.

[Editor's note: The following is a friendly reminder submitted by the City of Redwood City.]

This is a reminder that after adopting the reusable bag ordinance in March of this year, our City will be joining other cities in San Mateo County in implementing the reusable bag ordinance starting today, October 1st.  So, don't forget your reusable bag when visiting your favorite grocery store or retailer!

The purpose of the reusable bag ordinance is to eliminate single use plastic bags and discourage the over-production of paper bags (think of the trees!) by encouraging reusable bags. They are affordable, sturdy, and easy to find if you cannot make it out to the County's give-away tomorrow.
