Redwood City Post Office Offering Extended Hours for Last-Minute Tax Filers

Three other Bay Area post offices are staying open late tonight too.

Four Bay Area post offices are staying open late tonight to accommodate those who are mailing in their tax returns just before the midnight deadline.

Today is the last day to file federal and state tax returns from 2010, and although more people are now filing their taxes online, the U.S. Postal Service is making sure last-minute filers have opportunities to send the returns through the mail.

The Redwood City Main Post Office is staying open until 7 p.m. today, and three other Bay Area post offices are offering curbside drop off until late tonight, according to the postal service.
