The June 5 election includes seven candidates campaigning to represent you at the county level.

After 16 years of service to San Mateo County, Supervisor Rose Jacobs-Gibson is leaving her District 4 seat, which encompasses Redwood City, Menlo Park and East Palo Alto.

The County Supervisor is one of five members who make the ultimate decisions regarding county issues like the budget and health and social services.

The race initially had eight candidates vying for the seat, but David Woods exited the race after failing to provide the necessary funds.
