Photos: Romney Met By Protesters in Redwood City

The Republican presidential candidate came to town for a fundraising dinner early this evening at the Hotel Sofitel.

Protesters from three groups were waiting for Presidential candidate Mitt Romney when he arrived for an exclusive fundraising dinner tonight in Redwood City.

Activist groups protesting outside the 5:30 p.m. reception included Occupy Redwood City, Raging Grannies and the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment.

Raging Grannies member Ruth Robertson said her group adopted "billionaire personas" as they stood outside the event with signs mocking people who were driving in to attend.

Protesters wore fake fur and held signs reading "Corporations are People, Too," she said.

"We think by mocking them it might bring them down a rung or two," Robertson said.
