San Mateo County residents were glued to the TV at various viewing parties for the first presidential debate and clearly determined a victor.
Now we're gearing up for Round 2: here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.
The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.
Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.
All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.
So who do you think will win Debate #2? What questions do you want both candidates to answer? Share your thoughts in the comments!
Why is it that on your promotional book jacket in 1991 it stated, "Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii", and yet you provided the media with a Photoshopped birth certificate that stated you were born in Hawaii, USA? Which one is it? And why is it that your Social Security Number begins with a Connecticut prefix? How is that possible? And why did you spend over $2 million to seal your school records from Columbia, Occidental, etc.? What exactly are you hiding? And why weren't the requests for additional security for U.S. personnel in Libya honored? And what crime exactly are you accusing Mitt Romney of with respect to his income taxes? Please be specific. Thank you in advance, Mr. President, for being forthcoming on these questions many Americans want answered.
The rest you can try reading about on a site not called drudge report, breitbart, rushlimbaugh, etc and get some perspective.

I had no choice but to trust you when you insisted on using my hard earned tax dollars to bail out GM, as well as the banks that were "too big to fail", and to subsidize you pet green projects that did fail, e.g., Solyndra, Tesla, Fisker. So why was it, at least in the case of GM, that you put me last in line to be repaid? And standing ahead of me in line, most noticeably and as far as the eye can see, was your union buddies/donors. Is this a case of Chicago-style corruption or just good ol' chrony capitalism?

Do you care to comment on an article from the Orlando Sentinel which states that Darden Restaurants (which owns the Red Lobster, Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, and Yard House chains) has stopped offering full-time schedules to hourly workers? According to the article, the company now plans to offer a maximum of 28 hours per week per employee. The article further states that Orlando-based Darden Restaurants group said the changes were "just one of the many things we are evaluating to help us address the cost implications healthcare reform will have on our business." Additionally, the article points out that under a section of President Barack Obama's Affordable Healthcare Act (aka Obamacare) due to go into effect in 2014, large employers face fines of up to $3,000 per employee if they fail to provide insurance for employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week. And finally, according to the article, Darden said it offers health insurance to its 185,000 employees nationwide but many are on a limited-benefit plan which will be phased out under Obamacare.
