Redwood City City Council
The seven-member City Council is elected by Redwood City residents. The group sets city priorities and approves the town's budget.
Redwood City does not have a "strong mayor," who is elected to oversee daily operations and holds power that other council members do not have. Instead, the council-appointed city manager runs day-to-day administration. All council members hold equal sway.
City Council typically meets on two Mondays of each month.
