Council Appoints Citizens to Boards, Commissions and Committees

Redwood City citizens apply to volunteer for committees that make decisions regarding everything from parks to housing.

When making crucial decisions, the city council uses the advice from various appointed boards, commissions and committees. The city council Monday night selected various residents to serve on these bodies to assist the councilmembers by researching and providing valuable feedback.

Appointees serve for four year terms and will assume their role starting June 1.

Board of Building Review

  • Nicholas Barulich (incumbent)
  • Keith Bautista (incumbent)
  • John Philpott

Civic Cultural Commission:

  • Laurie Fisher (incumbent)
  • Jeff L. Norris
  • Lane Pianta (incumbent)
  • Cheryl Ritchie (incumbent)

 

Housing and Human Concerns Committee:

  • March Manuel (incumbent)
  • Craig Robinson (incumbent)
  • Karen Routt (incumbent)

 

Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission

  • John Brownfield (incumbent)
  • James Dudley

 

Senior Affairs Commission

  • Barbara Britschgi (incumbent)
  • Sandra Cooperman (incumbent)
  • Harold S. Draeger (incumbent)
  • Billy James

Kay Whiting Watanabe will serve in the open seat that expires on May 31, 2014. There is one seat still open.
