Caltrain Fatally Strikes Person in Burlingame

Trains are moving along a single track following the death of an adult woman that was struck by a southbound train south of Trousdale Avenue in Burlingame at approximately 10 a.m.

Caltrain is experiencing delays of up to 60 minutes.

The cause of the fatality has yet to be determined, Caltrain spokeswoman Tasha Bartholomew said.

After an investigation, the San Mateo County coroner will determine the cause of death, she said.

There have been 12 Caltrain fatalities this year.
